Health promotion is an evidence-based approach to improving the health of communities and individuals. As our community needs change we need to adapt programs to ensure they are achieving the desired outcomes.
We are always looking to better understand the factors that lead to preventable disease and the ways that we can prevent illness and promote good health.
Our research is locally-driven and also carried out in partnership with other local health districts and universities through research grants with National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the Medical Research Future Fund and the Translational Research Grant Scheme.
The Research and Innovation Matrix includes all of the current research projects that Health Promotion is involved in.
