How we work with media
We work closely with the media to inform the public of issues that may affect or improve their health and wellbeing. The Mid North Coast Local Health District’s Media and Corporate Communications team also responds to enquiries about health services in our facilities and communities.
To share this information, we regularly issue media releases and also invite the media to events so they can help us promote good health in our communities.
When needed, we will issue health alerts on major public health issues or disease outbreaks. This is incredibly important information, so we appreciate the media’s support in sharing it with the public.
All media enquiries must be directed to the Media and Corporate Communications team.

- photo requests of staff, patients or our facilities
- general enquiries about health issues
- any condition updates on patients who have been injured in an accident or are otherwise of interest to the media.
All queries should be directed to 0408 693 688. Please do not call our hospitals or staff directly.
An On-Call Media Manager is available after normal business hours to assist media with urgent enquiries. After hours queries should also be directed to 0408 693 688.
Please note: urgent media enquiries and condition updates will be facilitated by the On-Call Media Manager at their discretion.
