Government Information Public Access Act (GIPA)
The Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act) replaced the Freedom of Information Act 1989 (NSW) on 1 July 2010.
The NSW Government has made a commitment to provide access to information held by the Government, unless on balance it is contrary to the public interest to provide that information.
Applications for access to information may be made under the provisions of the GIPA Act in writing, accompanied by the $30 application fee and certified proof of identification if you are seeking access to personal information, to:
