Linking patients with programs that support them to keep healthy, active and independent with improved mobility is particularly important for older people. Research shows that any exercise, at any age, can help improve health and well-being.

Stepping on is an exciting, friendly and free community program designed to help reduce the risk of falling and improve the mobility of individuals aged 65 years and over, or 45 years and over for Aboriginal, who are scared of falling or who have recently fallen. 

Healthy Ageing Online Learning is a free online program the provides information and tips on healthy eating, getting active and falls prevention at the participants own pace from the comfort of their own home.

Participants can access:

  • eight online learning modules with quizzes
  • two online exercise circuits designed for beginners with videos to follow along at home
  • fact sheets with helpful tips and information
  • an exercise manual and logbook with images and easy-to-follow instructions

The Get Healthy Service is a free and confidential phone-based service supporting clients of all ages to make healthy lifestyle changes. 

Active & Healthy provides information for clients to find free exercise programs in their local area and provides information on exercises to do at home.
