This is your opportunity to join a team of dedicated dental professionals where you will get clinical support as well as mentoring in general and emergency dentistry by our experienced dental officers, oral health therapists, dental therapists and clinical consultants.
There are also opportunities to work with visiting specialists to gain experience in oral surgery, oral medicine, prosthodontics, orthodontics, paediatrics and management of patients under relative analgesia and general anaesthesia.
Our service
The MNCLHD provides free oral health care to the eligible population. Our clinic locations are in Coffs Harbour, Nambucca Heads, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Wauchope and Laurieton. We manage the oral health needs of targeted population groups, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and refugees.
Our programs include:
- Primary School Mobile Dental Program
- Building Brighter Grins Closing the Gap Program
- Spencer Residential Aged Care Program
- Refugee and Asylum Seeker Oral Health Program.
Remuneration and allowances
The Dental Officer Rural Incentive Scheme (DORIS) is an enhanced remuneration package for dental officers offering up to an additional $20,000 per annum over the salary award. The MNCLHD also provides relocation allowances to help support clinicians.
