Child and Family Health Nursing Service

Child and Family Health Clinics provide services for all parents and carers of children from birth to 5 years of age.

Child and Family Health Nurses have specialist training in:

  • infant feeding including breastfeeding, mixed and bottle feeding, solids and family foods
  • sleeping, settling, SIDS and safety
  • growth and development, assessment and referrals
  • childhood immunisations
  • behaviour support- crying, tantrums
  • supporting parents to understand and enjoy their children and link with other local families
  • postnatal depression support and link to services.

Child and Family Health Nurses provide evidence-based information, listen to your concerns and help you plan for the next stage of your child’s development by working in partnership with you to meet your parenting goals.
