Occupational Therapy Service – Paediatric

Occupational Therapists work with children of all ages, their families and their teachers to develop children’s functional skills and participation in activities of daily living including children who are experiencing difficulty or delays with:

  • sensory processing
  • gross motor
  • fine motor (including handwriting)
  • self care
  • visual perceptual
  • pretend play.

Referrals to occupational therapy are accepted from all sources including parents, physicians, other health professionals, education staff and other community workers.

Children who have NDIS funding are encouraged to use their funding and organise occupational therapy through private providers.

Waiting periods may apply, with priority given in some instances.
