Total hip replacement pre-operative education

Total hip replacement is a common surgical procedure to help alleviate pain and improve function for people primarily suffering with osteoarthritis of the hip.  It’s important to understand the processes involved around the surgery to achieve the best possible outcome.

Below is a patient education video providing a step-by-step guide on how to prepare for surgery, potential movements to avoid, tips on car transfers and what to expect following a total hip replacement.  For further information contact your local Physiotherapy Department.
