Visiting Endorsed Midwives

Midwives can apply to care for women at Coffs Harbour Health Campus and Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

Visiting Endorsed Midwives (VEM) are midwives endorsed by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

VEM work in either an individual capacity or in the course of their employment with a midwifery practice or Health Care Practice, and have admitting rights to provide care for a woman admitted as a private patient at Level 4 Maternity Services Coffs Harbour Health Campus and Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

Access agreements with Mid North Coast Local Health District

To apply for MNCLHD Level 4 Maternity Access Agreements complete the relevant NSW Health VEM application and email to MNCLHD-VEMApplicationsandEnquiries@health.nsw.gov.au
