Ministry of Health Aboriginal Health Dashboard

The NSW Aboriginal Health Dashboard provides a snapshot of key measures that reflect the response of Mid North Coast Local Health District to the health needs of the local Aboriginal Community.

The Dashboard is intended as a tool for Local Health Districts to support constructive conversations and collaborative efforts with local services, communities and with the Ministry of Health to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal people. It provides comparative tables to benchmark Mid North Coast Local Health District’s performance against other Local Health Districts (LHDs) and Specialty Health Networks (SHNs) in New South Wales .

The dashboard is accompanied by a summary of some key approaches to improve care for Aboriginal people in the NSW Health system. The infographic highlights the Mid North Coast Local Health District’s results from the Ministry of Health Aboriginal Health Dashboard.

Mid North Coast Local Health District Aboriginal Health Performance Report

The Mid North Coast Local Health District Aboriginal Health Performance report provides information on the health disparity between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people for key health indicators including health outcomes, determinants of health and health systems performance. 

As part of Mid North Coast Local Health District’s commitment to Closing the Gap an annual report was developed which aims to provide more accurate, reliable and meaningful health information that will assist in the planning and delivery of health services for Aboriginal people.

The Aboriginal Health Performance report promotes greater accountability for improving Aboriginal health by making information more visible and accessible to all Mid North Coast Local Health District staff, including clinicians and the executive.
