Dorrigo Multi-Purpose Service is a 27-bed facility with six inpatient beds, 21 aged care beds and a 24-hour Emergency Department. A limited range of community and allied health services are also available, including home care packages and ambulatory care services on an outreach basis from Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

A Government Access Centre is located in, and partially integrated with, the Dorrigo MPS providing a range of government services including Roads and Maritime Services, Centrelink and Countrylink.

The Dorrigo Health Campus is in the township of Dorrigo, situated on the Dorrigo Plateau atop the escarpment of the Bellinger Valley.  The plateau is some 780 metres above sea level and forms part of the Great Dividing Range on the Mid North Coast.

Dorrigo services the plateau population of 2,787 and is surrounded by World Heritage National Parks and Wilderness Areas. Gondwana rainforest and the many waterfalls makes tourism a key industry on the plateau. The town provides a range of cafés, art galleries and boutique shops, as well as supermarkets, pharmacy, hotels and clubs. The city of Coffs Harbour on the coast is 61km to the east of Dorrigo.

Dorrigo Government Access Centre, an agency for Services NSW and Services Australia, is situated within the MPS and offers a range of services including driver licence renewals, vehicle registration renewals and transfers, aged and provisional driving tests, Centrelink access, NSW TrainLink, Births, Deaths and Marriages and Fisheries services.
