District Director Finance and Performance
John returns to the MNCLHD after a two-year period working at St Vincent’s Health Network Sydney in a similar role, focused on stabilising the finance function, rebuilding the financial reporting systems, creating a new Finance team, and re-establishing the business partner system to support the network.
John has held executive team positions in large public health services since 2008, in both Queensland and NSW Health. These roles have included Chief Finance Officer for Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, and Executive Director Finance, Business and Operational Services at Sunshine Coast Hospital.
The Finance and Performance Directorate has overall responsibility for financial performance, budget development and cash flow management.
The finance team also supports Business Management Units in each of the Networks. In addition, the portfolio incorporates District Fleet management and Capital Works and Physical Resources.
