Port Base Hospital’s Pink Ladies finish the year on a high note

Dec 04, 2023
What a wonderful way to celebrate an equally wonderful year! Port Macquarie Pink Ladies’ Christmas get-together at The Westport Club brought the team together, where the volunteers enjoyed the chance to catch up with each other.
The United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW North East Regional Representative Dee Hunter delivered a heart-felt thank you to the volunteers, who work in almost every department at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, including the carpark which is home to the highly valued Pink Buggy service for visitors.
Ms Hunter also drew the winners’ names in highly successful Christmas raffle, congratulating Kirsty Baxter, Miranda Morrison, Pink Lady Jenny Dawson and Courtey Grant on winning the four hampers.
“A huge thank you to every business who donated prizes towards this year’s major fundraiser,” said Pink Ladies President Gabby Gregory.
“Your support made it our best ever, raising more than $2500 which will go towards medical equipment on the hospital’s wish list.”
Acting Director of Nursing and Midwifery Sharon Gouck thanked the Pink Ladies for their hard work throughout the year, and thanked them for sharing kind words and big smiles with hospital patients.
