Wauchope bowlers turn wrong bias into right move

The ladies from Wauchope Ladies Bowling Club have turned their on-green mishaps into a fantastic win for Wauchope District Memorial Hospital.

Fines for wrong bias bowls, combined with generous donations raised during their Friendship Day, have contributed to an incredible gift—funding towards a brand-new electric recliner chair for the Rehabilitation Unit. The chair will provide extra comfort for patients, making a real difference in their recovery.  

Director of Nursing Jennifer Rudd praised the club’s generosity.

“We are so thankful for the generosity of our local community. Their kindness and commitment to supporting the hospital truly make a difference in the lives of our patients. It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together for such a great cause.”

A huge thank you to these fabulous ladies for rolling with purpose and showing how a small act—like a wrong bias fine—can lead to a big win for our local hospital.
