There were 14 COVID-19 cases in the Mid North Coast Local Health District reported to 8pm yesterday (9 November).

Eight cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area (LGA), three are from Kempsey LGA and three are from Nambucca Valley LGA.

Twelve of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster and two are household contacts of a confirmed case. All cases are isolating.

There have been 417 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 782 tests conducted yesterday including 360 at Port Macquarie, 243 at Coffs Harbour and 145 at Kempsey. We encourage anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms to come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.

There are 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit the NSW Government website or contact your GP.

We encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder (previously Eligibility Checker), or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 571 155 for assistance to book.

NSW Health state-run clinics are now offering a booster dose, using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, to individuals aged 18 and over.

This booster shot will help people maintain a high level of protection against the COVID-19 virus, including the Delta variant. People aged 18 years and older may receive a booster at least six months after receiving their second dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
