Kempsey UHA has Mother’s Day, and recruitment, covered

May 07, 2024

Kempsey District Hospital’s Focus Team of the Month for May is the United Hospital Auxiliary volunteers.

Showcasing the volunteers’ service to staff and patients at Kempsey Health Campus, the month-long display in the main hospital foyer, offers an insight into the great deeds and hard work of the volunteers.

The group will host a meet and greet morning tea later in the month celebrating National Volunteer Week, where they hope to boost their numbers with new recruits while also informing the public about their hard work in support of the hospital, staff and patients.

Also, there will be no excuse not to have a gift for mum this Sunday as the volunteers are hosting a Mother’s Day stall on Wednesday from 9am to 1pm. Tickets will be available in their Mother’s Day Raffle, which features a first prize valued at more than $450. Staff, patients and visitors will also be able to buy slices, scones, jam dries and pies as well as handcrafted gifts from the volunteers.

Anyone wanting more information about the Kempsey branch of the UHA is encouraged to contact Sharon.Fuller1@health.nsw.gov.au
