Kempsey hospital recognises staff service and dedication

Kempsey District Hospital celebrated the service and commitment of staff during a presentation ceremony earlier this week.

Executive Officer Katie Croad said the celebration was the perfect opportunity to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of the hospital’s staff.

The thank you afternoon tea saw the presentation of service badges.

Staff from across the campus came together to congratulate their colleagues for services to NSW Health 10 years plus.

The celebration cake was cut by EN Sharon Roser and Administration Officer Bronwyn Smith who both received badges for 45 years of service, most of which was achieved at KDH.

The hospital also acknowledged campus colleagues receiving their badges through their individual service managers as well as those who have reached the 1- year milestone after the reporting period of December 2023.

Ms Croad said she looked forward to presenting those staff with their badges early next year.

People and Culture prepared a report from Stafflink that identified employees’ length of service, including all time worked within NSW Health.  

All permanent, temporary, and casual staff, with more than ten years of service (as of 31st December 2023), and every 5-years thereafter, are eligible to receive a Recognition of Service pin.  

Despite best efforts, sometimes the data used for Service Awards can contain errors.  For any employees who do not receive a Recognition of Service pin, who should have been included, the contact point for pursuing the recognition award is the Organisational Development team.
