Come together for National Close the Gap Day

We invite all staff to take part in National Close the Gap Day on Thursday, 20 March, by joining in activities happening across our district.

This is a time to come together, listen, learn and show our support for closing the health gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Whether it’s sharing a cuppa at morning tea, listening to Elders yarn, or taking part in cultural activities, your presence makes a difference.

Wauchope District Memorial Hospital will also be hosting a BBQ lunch on Tuesday, 18 March.

Thursday 20 March:

Coffs Harbour Health Campus Education Rooms 025	From 10am – Welcome to Country, guest speakers, morning tea 2pm – Cultural activities including bush tucker with Matt Flanders
Bellinger River District Hospital	10:30am – Celebrations and morning tea
Dorrigo Health Campus	10:30am – Celebrations and morning tea
Kempsey District Hospital Wutu Room or Bush Tucker Garden	10:30am – Morning tea in the Bush Tucker Garden
Nambucca HealthOne	11am – Elders yarning and lunch
Macksville District Hospital	From 10am – Morning tea, cultural performance by Frank Partridge VC Public School and gift giving.
Port Macquarie Community Health	2pm – Yarning Circle
