A community’s heartfelt gift to new mums at PMBH Maternity

Dec 02, 2024

This holiday season, the Maternity Unit at Port Macquarie Base Hospital is feeling the warmth of community care, thanks to some truly remarkable individuals.

Camden Haven resident Pam Cavey has poured her generosity and creativity into making beautiful handmade nursing pads and matching feeding cloths. These thoughtful creations, wrapped with care, will be gifted to new mums during this festive season.

Adding to the cheer, Penny Peak delivered these parcels of love along with another special surprise—adorable outfits for premature and very small babies, kindly donated by the Rotary Club of Laurieton.

These heartfelt gestures remind us of the incredible power of community spirit. The kindness and support shown by Pam, Penny, and the Rotary Club of Laurieton will undoubtedly bring smiles to the faces of new mums and their little ones, making their first moments together even more special.

To everyone who contributes to making our Maternity Unit a place of care and joy—thank you! Your generosity lights up the lives of families during the holiday season and beyond.
