There were 576 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Mid North Coast Local Health District to 8pm yesterday (21 January 2022) – including 304 positive rapid antigen tests (RATs) and 272 positive PCR tests*.

Sadly, Mid North Coast Health is reporting the deaths of three people with COVID-19 – two from Coffs Harbour LGA and one from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA. Two of these deaths were reported in NSW Health figures yesterday. We extend our sincere condolences to their families and loved ones.

Of the 272 positive PCR tests, 94 are from Coffs Harbour Local Government Area (LGA), 77 are from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA, 75 are from Kempsey LGA, 22 are from Nambucca Valley LGA and four are from Bellingen LGA.

There are 57 COVID-19 cases in Mid North Coast hospitals, with three people in intensive care.

There have been 11,131 cases reported in the district since June 2021.

At our Mid North Coast Health clinics, there were 554 tests conducted yesterday.

* Please note there may be some cases included in these numbers where people have reported positive RATs on multiple days and/or where people have also had a positive PCR test during the same reporting period.
