There were 21 cases of COVID-19 in the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) reported to 8pm yesterday (4 November).
Seven of the cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area (LGA), six are from Kempsey LGA and there are four cases each from the Nambucca Valley and Coffs Harbour LGAs.
Ten cases are household contacts of confirmed cases, ten are linked to a known case or cluster and the source of the infection of one case is under investigation. All cases are isolating.
There have been 332 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.
COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 600 tests conducted yesterday including 246 at Port Macquarie, 160 at Coffs Harbour and 107 at Kempsey. We encourage anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms to come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.
There are 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest clinic visit the NSW Government website or contact your GP.
We encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder (previously Eligibility Checker), or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 571 155 for assistance to book.
NSW Health state-run clinics are now offering a booster dose, using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, to individuals aged 18 and over.
This booster shot will help people maintain a high level of protection against the COVID-19 virus, including the Delta variant. People aged 18 years and older may receive a booster at least six months after receiving their second dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
