There were 14 COVID-19 cases in the Mid North Coast Local Health District reported to 8pm yesterday (11 November).

Six cases are from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Government Area (LGA), five cases are from Kempsey LGA and three cases are from Coffs Harbour LGA.

Three of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster, four are household contacts of a confirmed case and the source of the infection of seven of the cases is under investigation. All cases are isolating.

There have been 438 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 613 tests conducted yesterday including 323 at Port Macquarie, 178 at Coffs Harbour and 76 at Kempsey. We encourage anyone with even the mildest of cold-like symptoms to come forward for testing and isolate until a negative result is received.

We encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Australian Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder (previously Eligibility Checker), or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 571 155 for assistance to book.

NSW Health state-run clinics are now offering a booster dose, using the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, to individuals aged 18 and over.

This booster shot will help people maintain a high level of protection against the COVID-19 virus, including the Delta variant. People aged 18 years and older may receive a booster at least six months after receiving their second dose of any of the COVID-19 vaccines registered for use in Australia.
