Port Macquarie Base Hospital’s Paediatric Unit has been inundated with donations of pyjamas thanks to an amazing community.

Darlene Malineack, the Paediatric Nursing Unit Manager, has been overwhelmed by the generosity of those who donated PJs and underwear and is thrilled to say the cupboards are now fully stocked.

The PJ drive was launched last earlier in the week in a bid to help restock children’s emergency pyjama supply. Within an hour, donors had dropped off dozens of new PJs and undies at Port Macquarie Community Health Centre and two days later, there were enough to ensure supply for the year ahead.

Darlene has thanked everyone who dug deep to support the hospital’s youngest patients.
