Hospital volunteers preparing for biggest fundraiser yet

Sep 12, 2023

Kempsey District Hospital and the Kempsey branch of the United Hospital Auxiliary are hosting a Spring Fair this Saturday, featuring market stalls, live entertainment, lots of activities for the kids and fun for all the family.

The much-anticipated 2023 Spring Fair has something for everyone. Grab a bargain, or try your luck with the chocolate wheel, raffles and lucky dips.

Fete day will feature live music from the Haigh Brothers, as well as Devonshire teas, a coffee cart, books, plants from Kempsey U3A Garden Club, and so much more.

Children will be well catered for with a Bunnings craft stall, face painting, pony rides, colouring competition, and ice creams. Youngsters will even be able to have their photo taken with first responder vehicles, including a NSW Fire + Rescue truck.

In the lead up to the fundraiser, the Hospital Auxiliary volunteers have been busy selling raffle tickets, which feature some amazing prizes donated by businesses throughout the Macleay.

President Maxine Walker said the response from the business community had been astounding and she thanked everyone who had supported the fete so far.

She encouraged the community to get behind the fundraiser on Saturday, where proceeds will go towards medical equipment and patient comfort items for Kempsey District Hospital.

The fun starts at 9am in the hospital grounds facing River Street.
