Family Planning

The Family Planning service is a free, confidential service targeting young people up to 24 years of age and covers issues such as:

  • contraception and contraceptive advice
  • pregnancy testing and counselling
  • sexual health and safer sex information
  • information on sexually transmitted infections (STI)
  • breast checks
  • cervical screening test
  • menstrual and bleeding problems, and
  • any issues to do with sexual and reproductive health.

The Family Planning service is also available to pensioners and health care card holders, regardless of age.
