Smoking in Pregnancy Workshop -Port Macquarie – Maternity Unit

Course description: The 2-hour workshops are designed to provide health professionals’ with skills and resources that will enable them to assist pregnant women with a successful quit attempt.  The training will be facilitated by James McLennan, Statewide Smoking Cessation Training Coordinator and Tracy Greenberg, NSW Health Smoking Cessation trainer and  will cover the following modules:

1.       Smoking and stress

2.       Smoking for enjoyment

3.       Psychosocial Barriers present

4.       Nicotine Replacement Therapy

5.       Referral to Quitline or another service (Clinical pathway)
