Hospital Skills Program

The Hospital Skills Program provides continuing professional development for ‘non-specialist’ doctors (SRMOs, CMOs, hospitalists, GP VMOs and others) working in NSW Health. The program uses a variety of traditional and non-traditional resources and methods appropriate to the working environment of the participant, resulting in the acquisition of skills useful to an employer, and appropriate to the local patient community.

Master of Clinical Medicine

NSW Health is calling for career medical officers (CMOs), hospitalists and other generalists to apply for the University of Newcastle’s Master of Clinical Medicine (Leadership and Management).

The program is one of the first of its kind and is designed to equip ‘non-specialist’ doctors for broader roles in clinical leadership and in co-ordinating patient care in hospitals. HETI is providing sponsorship for doctors attending this course.
