Through facilitated activities you will learn how to design, organise and conduct effective meetings. Case studies are used to explore the preparation required when convening or attending a meeting, including developing an agenda, reviewing invitation lists, meeting venues and appropriate governance requirements.

At the completion of this workshop you will be able to:

• Recognise different types of meetings, their uses and opportunities to effectively contribute
• Successfully chair a meeting
• Develop communication skills relevant to various roles
• Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours of meeting participants
• Apply project management skills to ensure follow up and evaluation of meetings.
