The Healthy Eating Activity and Lifestyle (HEAL) Program is a 10 week program designed to assist participants to improve their lifestyle and to reduce weight via increased awareness of healthy eating and increased physical activity.

This program is designed for people at risk of disease (associated with lifestyle), or those currently managing a chronic illness.  The HEAL program aims to empower people to take responsibility for their own health by focusing on behaviour modification principles.

Each two hour session commences with an hour of physical activity and then participants are presented with information regarding nutrition, the benefits of  physical activity , and motivation to stay on track and also to understand psychological issues of eating.

Many health professionals are involved in the program including dieticians, mental health nurses, women’s health nurses and exercise physiologists.
