Device Set Up

Online appointments with MNCLHD will use the Microsoft Lync program. One important advantage of this program is that there is no cost for dedicated software.

To participate you need a computer device with a camera, speakers and microphone and a web browser to access the online appointment site.

To get set up you will need the name of your MNCLHD contact person and the PIN number for an appointment with them.

Set up instructions for the most common devices are included below:

iPads and Tablets (Android and Windows 8 or 10)
  • Download the “Lync 2013” app from the app store for your device
  • Go to the “Online Waiting Room” page of this website and select the name of your contact person.
  • Enter the PIN they gave you for the appointment.
  • Click “START”
  • This should start an appointment with your contact person.
  • Check the operation of the sound and video
  • Now you should be ready for your appointment with your health care professional

Computers
  • Go to the “Online Waiting Room” page of this website and select the name of your contact person
  • Enter the PIN they gave you for the appointment.
  • Click “START”
  • If the computer does not have the Lync web app already installed, it will automatically start this process
  • Follow the on screen instructions to install the web app
  • Once the web app is installed you can go back to the “Online Waiting Room” and then join your online appointment by clicking on the name of your contact person and then entering the PIN you were given
  • Check the operation of the sound and video with them.
  • Now you should be ready for your appointment with your health care professional
