Smoke Free Pregnancy

The Quit for New Life (Q4NL) program supports women who identify as having an Aboriginal baby to quit smoking during pregnancy and to stay quit after the birth of their baby.

Q4NL workers will offer quitting support directly to women, and also to any family members who smoke and live in the same household. They will provide:

  • Information on smoking
  • Support and advice on quitting
  • Free patches, lozenges, inhalators or gum (Nicotine Replacement Therapy) for up to 12 weeks.

Q4NL workers can meet women and their families at their local Aboriginal Medical Service, community health centre, their home or preferred location.
