Live Life Well at School

Live Life Well @ School (LLW@S) is a joint initiative between the NSW Department of Education and Communities and NSW Ministry of Health that aims to get more students, more active, more often, as well as improving students’ eating habits.

The program seeks to develop teachers’ knowledge, skills and confidence in teaching nutrition and physical education including fundamental movement skills as part of the K-6 Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) syllabus.

LLW@S provides primary teachers with the opportunity to participate in either a two-day professional learning workshop, full day conferences or after school professional learning opportunities that aim to promote and support a ‘whole of school’ approach to physical activity and healthy eating.

Each participating school has developed a LLW@S Action Plan for initiating positive and sustainable change in their school. The plan is based on the ‘Health Promoting School Framework’ that combines curriculum, culture and community into a ‘whole of school’ approach towards healthy eating and physical activity.

Mid North Coast Health Promotion aim to support all our local schools, including those that are part of the Live Life Well @ School program.
