In anticipation of the Mid North Coast Local Health District’s Specialist Palliative Care Education Day on November 14, the Palliative Care teams at Kempsey and Macksville are coming together to raise funds for local palliative care initiatives.

Senior Aboriginal Health Worker Cindy Younie, along with colleagues Michelle Wilcox and Sally Bannerman, have generously donated items for a raffle that will be drawn on the day of the event.

Ms Younie, who created a stunning Aboriginal artwork that will be the raffle’s first prize, expressed excitement about the event and the fundraising efforts.

“It’s wonderful to support palliative care in our community while bringing people together to share knowledge and raise awareness,” she said.

The raffle prizes include:

  • First Prize: A beautiful piece of Aboriginal artwork by Cindy Younie
  • Second Prize: A Terrazzo-look pot with succulents, donated by Michelle Wilcox
  • Third Prize: A handmade quilt crafted by Sally Bannerman

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at Macksville and Kempsey Community Health and Hospital sites. For those outside the Kempsey and Macksville sites, tickets can be bought by contacting Cindy directly at 0417 899 387 or via email at Cynthia.younie@health.nsw.gov.au.

The winners’ names will be drawn during the afternoon of the Education Day, and all proceeds will go to Palliative Care services throughout the Mid North Coast.

Don’t miss this chance to win beautiful items while supporting a meaningful cause!
