At Wauchope District Memorial Hospital, it’s not always about the size of the donation – it’s about the community coming together to support one another.

The Kendall branch of the Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW has shown just how much heart they have with a kind donation in support of local Palliative Care patients.

Palliative Care Nurse Unit Manager Mary Trotter said these amazing ladies rolled up their sleeves, baked, cooked, and knitted their way to raising $200 by selling their famous jams, cakes and pickles, as well as handicraft items at the Kendall Markets.

“Their donation will help make a mighty difference to our patients,” Ms Trotter said.

“Every dollar will be combined with other contributions to help secure essential equipment and patient comfort items, ensuring our incredible palliative care team can continue providing the best care possible.

“We’re so grateful to the Kendall CWA for their hard work and dedication to making a difference. This is what community spirit is all about!”
