Jul 03, 2023Mid North Coast Local Health District’s Tayla Hiscock has been recognised for her outstanding achievements and a commitment to her studies and work winning North Coast School Based Apprentice/Trainee of the year award.
Tayla who is in her final year completing the MNCLHD Elsa Dixon Aboriginal school-based traineeship to achieving a Certificate III in in Health Service Assistant, is working at Kempsey District Hospital training to be an Assistant in Nursing (AIN).
The Trainee of the Year is presented to a student who has undertaken a Certificate II or above qualification as a part-time School-Based Apprentice/Trainee and recognises a commitment to their formal studies at TAFE, school and in the workplace.
Tayla consistently showing her dedication and resilience completing her Certificate III and has excelled beyond expectations.
TAFE NSW North Region Head Teacher, Health Aged Care Nursing and First Aid, Lisa Taffe, along with Mid North Coast Local Health District Aboriginal Workforce Development Coordinator Jodi Shaw, Kempsey District Hospital Ann McCrae and Michelle Heffernan have been instrumental in supporting Tayla with her studies and work.
MNCLHD and TAFE NSW congratulated Tayla and are very proud to be a part of her journey.
