The Mid North Coast Local Health District has been notified of three cases of COVID-19.

Two of the cases are from the Port Macquarie area and are close contacts of a positive case who visited the region last week. They have been isolating since being identified as close contacts.

The North Coast Public Health Unit is currently investigating these cases and contact tracing is underway. We will provide more information as soon as it is available, including potential exposure venues of public concern.

The third case is in Kempsey and is a household close contact of a case reported yesterday (25 September). This person has been in isolation and has not been infectious in the community.

There have been 16 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.

We ask the community to please remain vigilant and come forward for testing for even the mildest symptoms of COVID-19.  Please continue to practise COVID-safe measures at all times.

There are more than 500 COVID-19 testing locations across NSW. Find a clinic at COVID-19 testing clinics or contact your GP.

We encourage our community to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as they are able to. Find available bookings at the Commonwealth Government’s COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder (previously eligibility checker), or you can also call Health Direct on 1800 571 155 for assistance to book.
