Testing remains high as 13 new cases announced

There were 13 COVID-19 cases reported in the Mid North Coast Local Health District to 8pm yesterday (29 October).
Seven are from the Kempsey Local Government Area (LGA), four are from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA and two are from the Nambucca Valley LGA.
Ten of the cases are linked to a known case or cluster and the source of the infection of three cases is under investigation. Two of the cases reported today attended a funeral at Nambucca Heads on Saturday 23 October.
The North Coast Public Health Unit is urging anyone who attended the large funeral at Lions Park, Nambucca Headland on Saturday 23 October at 11am to come forward for COVID-19 testing.
There have been 259 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.
The North Coast Public Health Unit is currently investigating the latest cases and contact tracing is underway.

COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 989 tests conducted yesterday – 315 at Coffs Harbour, 293 at Kempsey and 201 at Port Macquarie.
