Teamwork creates vision awareness film

Nov 22, 2023

As part of the ‘Enhancing Inclusion in the Health System’ project, Disability Healthcare Specialists from the Mid North Coast Local Health District and Blue Sky Community Services have been working to create awesome educational resources for Health staff. One such resource is a vision awareness educational video.

Recently, specialists teamed up with staff from the Mid North Coast Local Health District, Blue Sky Community Services and Guide Dogs NSW, along with members of the local low-vision community, to film the video at Macksville District Hospital.

Filming day was so much fun! Nessy the Guide Dog stole the show!

The vision awareness educational video will be published for Health staff on My Health Learning and for members of the public to view on the Mid North Coast Local Health District’s YouTube channel.

So watch this space for the publication of the film shortly!
