Almost one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85.

The Coffs Harbour Mid North Coast Cancer Institute team hosted a Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea with a bake-off and raised a total of $391.65.

Money raised will go to the Cancer Council for much-needed funding for research and support for patients and carers.

Thank you to everyone who donated and contributed to making it a spectacular morning that brought our team together for a great cause.

A special thank you to Keana for coordinating the morning tea, and those staff who participated in our bake-off Angie Ward, Belinda Edgley, Matilda Smith, Annette Hannaford and Mel Busby.

It was a very close competition for our judges Rob Brangwin, Jodie Baker and Keana Fishburn scoring each delicious creation on taste, presentation, keeping to the theme (Cancer Ribbon Colours) and the “wow factor”.

The winners were: first Angie, second Matilda, and third Annette.
