Staff raise funds to support Anna in Germany

Jul 27, 2023

Mid North Coast Local Health District staff have rallied together to show their support for Patient Support Officer, Anna Sydenham as she gets ready to compete in the World Dwarf Games in Germany.

Anna, 26, is representing Australia in swimming, soccer and bocce when the games get underway in Colonge, Germany on 28 July.

This year’s games are anticipated to see the highest ever number of competitors with around 530 athletes set to attend.

For Anna, this will be her third World Dwarf Games as she previously competed in America in 2013 and in Canada in 2017.

Anna’s manager, Coffs Harbour Health Campus Manager of Patient Services, Leonie Sens, and all her colleagues organised a fundraiser in the lead up to Anna leaving and raised an impressive $1,627.

Staff supported the fundraiser by purchasing raffle tickets.

The results of the raffle are as follows:

1st Prize – Jill Branford (ex Nurse Manager Peri Op Services CHHC)

2nd Prize – Rebecca Dadley – Theatre Nurse CHHC

3rd Prize – Sue Rogers – Midwife AMIHS Macksville Hospital.

A medal tally will also be displayed at reception at Coffs Harbour Health Campus.

Go Anna!
