Some things are better together. Like, saving lives.

Mid North Coast Local Health District staff have done exactly that by participating in the Lifeblood Team’s Challenge, saving 321 lives from 1 April to 30 June 2023 by donating blood.

The initial goal was to reach 70 donations, but staff totally knocked it out of the park giving a whopping 107 donations in the three- month period.

Australian Red Cross Lifeblood’s Ruth Harrison thanked staff across the MNCLHD who supported the challenge.

“Thank you for all of the support from the various departments we have had this year, we couldn’t have achieved this without you,” she said.

“A huge thankyou to Jaye Gilchrist from Coffs Harbour Health Campus for your ongoing tenacity in rounding up donors.”
