Soroptimist Port Macquarie pamper new mums and bubs

May 30, 2024

Soroptimist International Port Macquarie has presented a thoughtful donation to the Maternity Unit at Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

“We are grateful for their generous contribution of 24 pamper packs for new mums,” said Maternity Unit Manager Kym MacCallugh.

“Their handmade gift bags, complete with a knitted bear for baby, a soft face washer, nourishing hand cream, and a voucher for a facial, are truly heartwarming.

“Their kindness and support mean a lot to new mothers and their little ones.”

Soroptimist branch president Di Barnes said the group’s goal was to pamper mums in need of an extra special hug following the birth of their baby.

Soroptimist International is a volunteer movement advocating for human rights and gender equality. Its members work on grassroots projects that help women and girls achieve their potential and realise their aspirations.
