Pump those pedals for a healthy reward
Dec 07, 2023If you wanted a fresh smoothie at Kempsey’s November Focus Team of the Month event, you needed to work for it.
This month’s team, Health Promotion, invited staff to meet the crew and find out more about what they do.
Part of the activities at the morning tea was a smoothie maker powered by pedals – the blender bike!
The Focus Team of the Month (FTotM) initiative arose from the 2022 People Matter Employee Survey to improve communication, staff safety and wellbeing and service awareness at Kempsey Health Campus.
Each month, a service based at the Kempsey site shares a display in the hospital’s main foyer to showcase the staff and what they do. They then host a morning or afternoon tea for a personalised meet and greet.
Since its inception, teams from Physical Resources, Mental Health and Health Promotion have shared a little about themselves and a lot about their services, linking names to faces and identifying how we all work together to provide care to our community.
