Patchwork Quilters and Birpai Balay’s stunning gift to patients
Nov 17, 2023Wauchope Patchwork Quilters group has donated six beautifully handcrafted quilts to Wauchope Palliative Care Unit, each one featuring stunning Aboriginal designs inspired by the Birpai Local Aboriginal Land Council Sewing Group, Birpai Balay.
The Aboriginal sewing group gifted the material to the quilters.
Palliative care patients and their families are very grateful for such a personal gift, inspired by feedback from an earlier donation from the group which included an Indigenous-themed quilt.
The quilts are not only comfy but they are stunning art pieces.
The palliative care staff expressed their gratitude for the collaboration which has brought so much pleasure to patients and their families.
