NSW Governor visit
Jun 30, 2023Mid North Coast Local Health District was honoured to host a visit by the NSW Governor Her Excellency The Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC and her husband Mr Denis Wilson at Coffs Harbour Health Campus this week.
The Mid North Coast visit was part of the vice regal couple’s commitment to visit one regional area per month to engage with communities across the state and promote youth leadership, regional and rural growth, innovation, industry, trade investment, inclusiveness and diversity, and service to state and community.
The NSW Governor undertook a short tour of Coffs Harbour Health Campus, met with staff, patients, local service providers and managers, and UHA President Helen Mears OAM.
Her Excellency had lots of questions following a presentation by CHHC Stroke Unit Clinical Nurse Consultant Amanda Buzio and Cardiologist Dr Austin May.
A big thank you to Coffs Clinical Network Coordinator Lydia Dennett for escorting Her Excellency on the hospital tour and for all the staff who were involved in showcasing the services we offer locally.
