Nambucca UHA volunteers celebrate a wonderful yearDec 05, 2023
Nambucca branch of the United Hospital Auxiliaries of NSW held its Christmas party today, attracting more than 40 volunteers, friends and supporters.
Held at the beautiful Nambucca RSL Club, the get-together was a celebration of a highly successful year supporting Macksville District Hospital through the UHA-run Bingo.
Director of Nursing and Midwifery Mark Tyler attended, thanking the UHA committee, led by President Michelle O’Keefe, for the enormous number of hours dedicated each Wednesday to the running of the UHA Bingo.
The fundraiser enables the UHA volunteers to donate tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of medical equipment to Macksville hospital.
Also attending and showing their support for the volunteers were Nambucca RSL Club President Terrie Hyslop, Chief Executive Officer Wendy Mills and Assistant Manager Carlie Thorman, and Mid North Coast Local Health District Corporate Relations Manager Sharon Fuller.
Ms O’Keefe thanked the club for its ongoing support of the UHA’s fundraising efforts and thanked the Lions Club of Nambucca for donating mini fruit cakes for each guest.
Best-dressed prize went to Barbara ‘P’, who made a very memorable Santa.
