The distinctive sound of Harley Davidsons could be heard at Port Macquarie Base Hospital this afternoon when members of the Hastings Chapter of the American Motorcycle Club delivered a $2000 donation to Mid North Coast Cancer Institute.

President Doug Williams presented the proceeds from Tezza’s Memorial Poker Run to Medical Oncology Nurse Colleen Boyd, who helped care for club member Terry O’Loughlan before he sadly passed away on 28 November 2018.

Every year since, AMC members host the tribute ride to Tez, raising funds along the way in support of other cancer patients.

Terry’s wife, Kerry, said she had the utmost respect for the MNCCI and the “amazing people who work there”.

“What can I say about Colleen (Boyd)? She’s a gem, along with her incredible team and the amazing front desk girls.”
