Who walked more than 31 million steps and raised $7,655 during the month of September? We did!

Mid North Coast Local Health District staff walk the talk of physical activity and supporting a great cause by recording 31,305,816 steps during the Steptember campaign.

Staff all over the mid north coast signed up once again for the challenge, which raises awareness and funds for Cerebral Palsy research, services and assisted technologies.

Coffs Harbour nurse, Sarah Bentley, walked a whopping 1,005,406 steps!

The highest stepping team was Led_Steppelin with 2,574,310. The highest fundraising team was MA JMOs, who raised $1,078.

Every September, the Cerebral Palsy Alliance calls on Australians to take up the challenge of walking at least 10,000 steps daily and raise funds for research. This year over 100,000 participants collectively raised almost $8 million.
