Leadership team excited about new nursing practitioner roles

The Mid North Coast Local Health District’s Senior Nursing and Midwifery Leadership Team met with Matt Lutze, the Principle Advisor for Nursing Practice (Nursing & Midwifery Office NSW Health), recently to discuss new models for Nurse Practitioners in Rural & Regional NSW.

The day was well received with presentations from the management of Virtual Care and from Mental Health.

Both services have been recipients of funding for new Nurse Practitioner positions.

It is an exciting time for the MNCLHD with seven new Nurse Practitioner positions identified in a variety of services which will be recruited over the next few months.
