It’s time to register for STEPtember
Aug 14, 2023Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is proud to once again be joining more than 2,400 other organisations and 120,000 people across Australia in this year’s STEPtember challenge!
September is just around the corner, so now is the time to join the MNCLHD STEPtember team and make your move towards inclusion for people with disability.
All staff are encouraged to get active, get healthy and get connected with your teammates as you challenge yourself to take 10,000 steps each day during September.
It’s easy, quick and free to join:
- Create your team of up to four people, nominate a Team Captain and create a unique team name
- The team captain can go to https://www.steptember.org.au/join/midnorthcoastlhd, and register their team
- Every team has up to four people – so choose three people to invite when you register (or later on from your dashboard), and they’ll get an email with a link to complete their registration. (You can access your dashboard when you log into the STEPtember website and use the dropdown menu to navigate to ‘My Organisation’).
Last year, MNCLHD steppers raised approximately $8,500 to support people living with Cerebral Palsy, and took more than 32,000,000 steps during the challenge.
Let’s aim to get more people stepping and raise even more funds this year.
Three teams will also be able to win prizes this year – the team that fundraises the most, the team that steps the most and a lucky draw for any teams who reach the goal of stepping 10,000 or more every day during Steptember.
You can find out more by heading to the STEPtember website – www.steptember.org.au. Don’t forget you can also convert activities like cycling, yoga, swimming and gardening into steps, so everyone can take part!
